How to become a registered Manufacturer

Registration is the first step you need to take if you would like to supply hearing devices to eligible voucher-clients of the Australian Government Hearing Services Program (the program).

To become a registered manufacturer, you need to fill in the Application for Registration and provide the supporting documentation as detailed in the application form.

Information to help you fill in the form, including a checklist and a return address for your application, can be found in the form.

The Department of Health (the Department) will

  • notify you upon receipt of your application
  • advise you if additional information is required to complete the assessment of your registration application and
  • advise you in writing of the Delegates decision on your registration application.

The process normally takes four weeks from receipt of a complete application.

Please contact the Department if you would like any additional information.
