Contract Consultation and Feedback

The government is currently considering the feedback from the consultation of the exposure draft of the revised legislation underpinning the Hearing Services Program. The proposed new Hearing Services Program (Voucher) Instrument 2019 would take effect on 1 October 2019.
As noted in CSPN 201902, following consultation on a proposed new consolidated instrument for the Hearing Services Program, the Service Provider Contract is currently being developed. All existing contracted service provider contracts have been extended to 30 September 2019.
Contract Redevelopment
Stakeholder feedback is being sought on a consultation draft of the revised contract. To support a review of the requirements in the draft contract, an overview of the proposed changes is also available.
Provider Support
We are also seeking feedback from providers and other relevant stakeholders on our current and potential supports. This is an opportunity for you to give feedback on existing support channels and provide suggestions on other ways the department can support providers to deliver services to program clients.
Timeframes
You can now provide your feedback by completing consultation surveys. The timeframes for the consultation are:
19 July 2019 -Service Provider Contract Consultation closes
9 August 2019 -Provider Support Survey closes
