Change to the Hearing Services Online (HSO) Portal

Following the 7 October 2020 announcement regarding the program renewal, there will be a preliminary change to the Hearing Services Online (HSO) portal. The change is scheduled to go live on
10 December 2020.
NDIS eligibility in portal
With the finalisation of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) transition, from 1 July 2020 NDIS participants are no longer able to access vouchers through the program.
To align with this change, from 10 December, the NDIS option in the Eligibility Type for voucher applications will no longer be available. Existing NDIS clients will still be eligible to receive the services available to them until their current voucher expires.
Portal Outage
To allow for the change, the portal will be unavailable from 8pm until midnight AEDST on 10 December 2020 and from 8pm until 6am AEDST on 11 and 12 December 2020.

These changes are one part of the renewal of the program which includes the Hearing Services Program Review as well as the recently announced initiatives funded through the Roadmap for Hearing Health
